Wouldn't matter if they moved back and forth between divisions -- points won in Intermediate would count only as Intermediate, points won in Championship would count only as Championship.

As it is now some players can pick and choose, if they wish, to attempt to manipulate/maximize their ABT points and/or winnings. If it is a comparatively small, weak field they might play Championship; if it is a larger, loaded field they might play Intermediate. It's ridiculous.

I would wager considerable sums that if we let Neil play in the Intermediate division in every ABT tournament -- and no other Championship players followed suit -- he would have an even easier time in winning the ABT year end trophy. But would he have really EARNED it?
