In Response To: Selection of Backgammon Giants from USA (David Rockwell)

The Giants list is, and has always been practically meaningless simply because there have been no specific, set parameters for who should be eligible and who should not. Until there are objective parameters that are applied to players from all over the world, the list will never be much more than a popularity contest.

It would be very easy to say that any vote for any person who has not played in at least 6 major tournaments in the past 24 months will not be counted (or whatever number you want to put there). Why that hasn't been done, I can't say.
