Afterwards, did Hugh have anything to say about the clock or clock settings?

Unfortunately (from my perspective), a match such as yours may only fuel the fire of anti-clock individuals and those promoting increased settings.

Why do you think you both used so much time?

And was it an 11 point match?

Obviously, a come-back match from a huge deficit can be quite time-consuming (witness the Joe Russell comeback against CJC in DC last week) -- as the leader may play conservatively to protect the lead and the trailer must balance caution/aggression with his/her back against the wall. Though with a consequently more lively cube such a big come-back match may not typically be quite as long as a very close match with almost exclusively single point games.

Would appreciate your relevant observations.
