My first instinct here was to play b/24/23*/22* and then look for the last 1. At least indicative of where I am used to seeing the blue checkers :-)

Back to the actual position, if I choose to make the 4 point, then 7/6 with the last 1 looks prettiest. If I don't then 8/7 8/5 is the play.

Now Stick has the better board, two men back to our none, and he has the anchor, not us. This shouts for a safe play. True, he has a couple of blots in his board as well, and we have no race lead to speak of - both of which make blotting for the 4 point more tempting. But not tempting enough. The fact that the race is this even may make it difficult for him to play his rolls comfortably without us going out of the way to put pressure on, and getting hit is a medium disaster here.

I play it safe for now with 8/7 8/5
