Format of LA Final?

I was at the auction when the vote was done... and I was under the impression that winning the undefeated side would have even MORE weight because I would play the last match with a handicap... ie: lead simulating 75% equity.
When notified that I would NOT be getting a handicap... I was a little worried and flabbergasted. I had hedged 20% with George Matthews, (a good player from the Bay Area), because I thought the winner would be about 75% to win the event and the loser got zero until he won another match... George lost 3 straight starting with our match, poor guy, but he did get about $1000 from our hedge agreement.
When it was Malcolm, who beat me in the Super 32 handily, and Stick playing in the losers bracket final I was more worried still. It was fun to play Stick again and play up to the crowd who watched intently at times.
Stick erased my 7-0 lead in three games, and then after some more jockeying in complicated games we reached 9-9/11. That game was not decided until consecutive jokers by Stick and Me. I cases like that it is good to be last!
I was so proud today to learn that the bot thought I played the final @ 2.9. Stick was slightly worse but rollouts will probably fix that, one cube decision Gnu didn't like I rolled out and it reduced his ER by 0.5 from 4.4 to 3.9 already.
