I'm not suggesting that the information be hidden. I'd be all in favor of having a web interface where a player could enter their name and see their stats. But that is different than publishing a big list with every name on it and being able to scroll to the bottom to see who you want to invite into your chouette. Similarly, yes, people do have fragile egos, and I think we still want such people to keep coming to events and not get discouraged. I don't think there is anything to gain from publishing (as in creating a single report showing all names) the lower half of the rankings. If the goal is to be able to watch the cream rise to the top and have better data to see who the top players are, then just produce reports that show the top N results. N can be 20, 50, 100, 200, whatever. Let everyone find out their own stats if they seek them out, and even make it easy for them to look them up. Let anyone look up any other player by name. But what is to be accomplished by showing the entire world a master summary report that shows who has managed to sustain the poorest performance for the past two years? Bad idea IMHO.
