Good points, Matt. I agree wholeheartedly that the whole list ought not be published... I didn't list anyone below .500 in my post. Perhaps only a top 10 list to avoid embarrassing those players who have been unfortunate recently. Then if someone has a great tournament they might sneak into the top 10 for a couple months or so. Maybe we could have annual standings, instead of lifetime, or both... That way if you were no good, or getting a divorce in 2009, and improved markedly in 2010, then your results in 09 would not hold you down.

The question of when to start the data collection may seem arbitrarily in favor of yours truly... But honestly, by the time we get a couple more drawsheets from this year's masters events... Neil is going to pass everybody up. Stick is one of the leaders at the moment and my stats are probably startling to some. However, we are talking about the current top 3 in ABT points. Where did you expect us to be on the stat sheet? (!) Shall we go back a year to when I won both LA events, and won 4 masters titles myself? Or do it this year when Neil and Stick are hot? Every list ever made has had Neil's name at the top of it eventually, with the lone exception of the Giants list where he has ONLY been as high as second. In the end the cream is going to rise to the top, if not now, then give it 3 months.

I'd love to publish the Midwest BG Championships where David Rubin went 8-1, just gotta get that sheet from Bill Davis. Bill has been sniping at this effort, however. If he didn't think of it, I guess it is not a good idea... But what sport/game does not have statistics? This is inevitable, and the only surprise is that nobody has organized an effort before this really.
