And if ratings are being adjusted instantaneously with every match entered, you need to make sure that you enter each person's matches in the order they played them. As an example of why this is important, lets say the first thing you do is enter all of the matches played by the tournament winner. The rating of his opponent in the finals will still be the lower rating he had from the beginning of the tournament, and not the much higher rating he should have after having gone 5-0 to get there. Since rating changes from a match depend on the difference in rating between the two players, entering in that manner will mess up the ratings. Typically, it is best to simply enter all matches from the first round main, and then move to the second round, etc. Then move to consolation...
