I think that Bill's argument is that stats from a few tournaments is not going to tell you who the best players are. It's like doing a rollout for 10 games and drawing conclusions from that. Sure the rollout data will be better than no data, but understand what you've got. I believe that it will take many years before any meaningful statistical signifigance is obtained and there is a critical mass of data that can truly be trusted. I think it is a valuable endeavor and you have to start somewhere, and now is as good a time as any, but people will need to weigh these very limited results with everything else they know. It will just be one of many considerations.
