Hi Michael,

The vote being discussed was the giant voting. The problem the other day was when Stick wondered in a post whom everyone thought the best players in the USA were, so he could do justice to his ballot.

It may have been confusing but what I meant was if there were some statistics available then people could make a more informed decision. I don't get a chance to play Rod Covlin as often as someone in Los Angeles my home club. So I would be guessing based on general impression or reputation.

Typically when I get down to the last 10 picks out of 32, it is very close. Some objectively compiled stats might help me decide the close decisions based on some concrete facts. That is merely ONE reason to develop the data, not the sole purpose of developing the rating/ranking/statistical data.
