Export Snowie to Gnu

Then possibly what is happening is that someone is either using an old version of Gnubg as you suggest and picking "Snowie Text" as the type to import (Where they should be specifying Jellyfish MAT) or they are using the new version of Gnubg and overriding the default of having Gnubg determine the type and forcing it to read the JellyFish MAT file in as snowie text instead.

By default in the later releases of GnuBG - the software will determine automagically what the file type is (by looking at the contents). Its only under rare circumstances where one has to override that behavior.
