Do you think skill-based considerations are important here? Even though you said that the opponent was gnu, I thought that it was the guy named in the diagram as the opponent. I wasn't sure whether this was a technical take or not, but since the next several plays are likely to be much more difficult for him than for you, and since you may be able to offer a tough recube if you survive, I thought he might be likely to give back enough equity to make this a take.

Actually, I still think that you should probably take this against someone almost as good as you. Gnu plays technical positions like this better than most mortals.
