I've no idea what is best, but I would try b/18. I need to run or attack to win. Running isn't attractive; I'm often hit, and I'm neither safe nor a big favorite in the race when I'm missed. However, 8/2 creates a new blot in my board, which I won't want there, whether I'm attacking on the 4pt or being attacked on the 24pt. That blot often makes my attacking plan fail even when it "works."
