Firefox - Lost graphics on bgonline home page

It would appear not!

I've just tried the bbc site and it is displayed in low graphics mode.

At the footnote of the bbc page it talks about enabling CSS style sheets or something.

Tried a system restore - no change.

Firefox not even opening now; suspect windows washer is not compatible and has corrupted it in some way.

Reinstall of firefox didn't work either.
