The take seems trivial since there's a ton of work left for white here and if white makes the 5 point, it is far from fatal.

I can certainly see this being a double from center since in that case good things can happen for either player and blue has cube access. But with white holding the cube, there's no reason to give it away here. If things go well, blue will still be glad to be able to cash since the game is by no means a lock, but if things don't go well, there is still a lot of play left and cube ownership will be huge.
