I think you will find that XG will compare favorable, particularly if you use the xg roller setting which is a 3600 3 ply rollout in a couple of seconds...but the real point to me is I don't care which one plays better at 3 ply. When I play against the bot for practice, I play it at a lower ply anyway just so it is more like the opponents I am likely to play!

If I want to know what is right, I've got to roll it out no matter what program I am on, and it's the quality of the rollouts that really matter to the advanced players. I can use extreme and get to 99 percent accuracy of the decision in 1/5 or 1/10th the time of GNU; and just like GNU, while I am rolling out one position I can open up another version and get to work on something else.

The most important thing to me is that I can get the answer before the idiot who bet against me has left and I don't get to collect. XG has already paid for itself many times over from what I've won from Carter in the past 2 weeks!
