The good thing with the "Depreli-positions" is that it is a reasonable set of positions and it is fast (I can do it with a button press for BGB. With 3-ply it takes half an hour. If someone wants the XML file description, just drop me a line). I have absoluetly no objection against anything better but a standard benchmark is a very nice thing to have, given that a head to head match is difficult.

On my wish list :)

- I would like to see the positions rolled out with something better than S3

- I would like to see some more positions. Due to it's creation process the position types probably show some "clusters" which may give some bias. The more positions we have, the less bias. I guess 2000 positions might be a reasonable improvement. I use this positions during training as a quick measurement and it shows deviation of 1-2 points with nets of nearly identical strength, and I guess with 2000 positions that will shrink to less than 1.
