If my ever-failing memory doesn't fail me, this is where I was mad at Robertie back in 1984 when the Blue book came out.
I believe Robertie endorsed 5/4, 5/4, 4/3, respectively. At the time I liked 3/2, 3/2, 3/2. I did a whole bunch of hand rollouts and concluded he was most likely right regarding the first position (5/4 best), but wrong regarding the next two.
I think Robertie said something like "Because 5/4 is best in the first position, that means that 5/4 is best in the second position, and 4/3 is best in the third."
I trust people with book in hand will correct any failures in my recollections, and I thank them in advance.
