So Neil, you suspect XBG has had some specific backgame training then? That might explain XBG's supposed improvement in playing strength over Gnubg, considering they are based on the same NN (according to Stick).

For me the $50 is still looking like a bargain. I do enough rollouts to justify the expense of XBG just based on the speed factor alone, even if it isn't really stronger than Gnubg. However, if XBG is a bit more than a dressed up Gnubg then I would like to know it.
