In Response To: Large Scale Nation vs Nation Tournament (Bob Koca)

If 16 arbitrary players could be ranked by skill 1-16, I'd conjecture that the optimal pairing without any other knowledge is 1/16, 2/15, 3/14, ...

BTW I think this would be great to see happen. Details to be worked out of course.
