I think you are right. This position is not good for speed compare. It is bearoff with minimal contact and as I understand these rollouts GNUbg 2ply and XBG 3ply took almost same amount of time on CPU with 2 core. GNUbg will be faster on quad core where XBG has no yet support. I think on some positions where positions is not so developed as here (no endgame) but middle game, difference in speed will be bigger but not so much as we first thought (bcuz we like to take XBG 3ply and not 3ply red - which is not clear on data on their web page). And if we have quad core (and with parallel rollout option with possibility to stop rollout) differences become smaller.
