This is an advanced case of I called it first. One year I went over and Howard asked me to play with him and Ed O. The next year I went again, and Howard asked me to play with him and Perry.

That left Ed O. to play with Doug Mayfield and maybe Pat Gibson as the "IRISH" team.

I guess Ed would probably prefer to play for the USA... We won that year.

So now, he/they got "dibbs".

I think it is stupid that they only let ONE team enter the Nations Cup. Why not have USA 1 & 2.

Then Malcolm Davis would not win the event as a member of the Mexican team at least!
