I lean towards just making the ace point, but the cube position seems strange to me. Shouldn't it be on the other side? Anyway you can still race if you want to but this way you get to watch Blue try to tiptoe home without leaving shots. That ensures that the gaps will be intact, mostly when his bearoff begins. Sooooooooo, the chances of picking up an occaisional gammon when you hit a shot with your closed board seem to point towards just closing your board and awaiting developments.

As blue I would love to see my opponent run and reduce contact so that I can try to win this game without any gammon fear.
