Clearing the 6pt. I saw a whole lot of this over the weekend in Novi. Made several comments about it too. Michigan hates the 6pt. Its almost official, and here, I have been infected.

There are too many gammon losses here for me to want to leave any more blots than necessary, and I can always remake it later (I think!). Also, relative board strength is equal(ish). Blue has to play something - hopefully not a pointing number, and this opens the door to opportunities. The race is close to even after the play, and this again points to maintaining some sort of equilibrium.

So many justifications for such a horrible play. I hate doing it, but do it nonetheless.
