I hit as the race is close and distribution sucks with the non-hit and gammons are irrelevant. Getting hit back is not fatal by a longshot with the 19 point open. 26 provides an immediate direct return shot from the bar, and opponent is still behind a 4-prime if they roll the 2 with additional crackers next turn. The other factor with the non-hit is that if white fails to escape, blue 5s next turn present the same dilema.
