Clocks lead to a cleaner game?--really

It is interesting to me that you think that clocks lead to a cleaner game. My opinion is that just the opposite is true--they lead to a sloppier game. Less time for everyone to assess their position and chose the best play--as a consequence more bad plays are made when matches are clocked. I'm sure of this, obviously proving it would require some sort of comparative study of clocked vs. unclocked matches. Vic Morawski
