With the Swiss format, wherein all matches in each round ideally start at the same time, clocks can be even more critical than in the other ABT tournaments.

Several years ago when the Swiss format tourney was being held in Indianapolis, my fifth round match (and the fifth round begins at 11:00 Saturday night) lasted 3.5 hours !! I don't recall specifically if these were 7 or 9 points matches, but I think it ridiculous that someone is subjected to a match requiring him to get to bed around 3:00 am with the next round starting at 10:00 or 10:30 the next morning.
