I've retried, using these settings, and I'm now getting about 5-6 seconds for a rollout. I'm running on an Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 2.6 Ghz, using 2 threads. I haven't got around to installing XG yet, so I can't compare right now.

I don't know whether XG Roller is using a reduced search space (e.g. only 7 of 21 rolls), and I can't find this option in gnubg in any case! I'm sure it used to be there. Perhaps it has been replaced by the pruning network.

Anyway, if anyone wants a copy of the .rol file, send me an email.
