Well, GnuBG equivalent to XG Roller settings should be 3600 games long stepped (change eval after 2ply) truncated (after 5 moves) rollout without variance reduction. First two moves should be 1ply for cube (which could be bad in GnuBG case because of odd/even effect) and 0ply for checkers and later play both is 0ply. It takes on my dual core T8100 @ 2.1GHz ~ 32sec for middle game mutual holding game position for example for one candidate. For pure non stepped 0ply/0ply rollout it takes 15 seconds.

At this moment my trial period for XBG expired but, XG Roller is definitely faster in my opinion.
