Comparing Extreme to Snowie

The positions are all in Mike's book, I provided the pages. Mike covers his criteria for roll outs in his book. This was ONLY intended to compare EX 3-ply with Snowie 3-ply. The percentage difference shows the difference between Ex's No. 1 play and Snowie's no. 1 play according to the 3-ply eval on Ex. I have no idea what GNU says about these same positions, and by doing the same experiment with GNU we would only be comparing GNU to Snowie, and that has already been done in great detail by others.
I never intended this to be a definitive exercise to prove that Ex is better than Snowie...it was simply a random sampling of 10 previously published positions, and when 9 out of 10 show superior results, I can't imagine why anyone would not say, "Gee, that's pretty good, and it suggests that Ex might be pretty good compared to Snowie, as it handled some very complicated positions that Mike felt worthy of using in his book very well."
If you feel there needs to be a lot more study, as most do, go right ahead. I just thought this was one very interesting, very fair and random study, directed by a most reputable player (Corbett) with the positions already published so that anyone could test the results for themselves if they are skeptical.
