If you arent sure if its a take or a pass (or indeed what your opponent will do..), then it must be a double. I think Chuck already quoted that one.
So, did I double? Giving my opponent something to consider is probably worthwhile - especially one I havent played before. Yes, I doubled. I am always curious as to how to handle these almost blitzy early match positions, so if I am not 100% sure, then I will probably send it over. Maybe I will get a pass, maybe I can blitz him out. There are some considerable market losers here too.
But, my question is both the D / ND and the T / P decisions. Do you beaver this for money? If not, is it still a double? I suppose technically if its not a double for money, then it cant be far from a beaver. I digress and waffle.
