A-haw-haw-haw, wal, what can I say but thanks, Ray. It was just one short match, though, and Snowie gave me, 2.46 I think it was. The 1.9 was reported by Matt after he looked at it with GNU. But as for making faces, I don't go for mouthless Dilbert; instead I'm trying for the Magriel Award. I observed him closely of old, and what a treat.

I felt much sharper throughout the tournament than I thought I would, except for one horrific blunder. That I know of.

As for remembering whole matches, Marty can still sometimes do it (it was never the case that I could always do it), but Mary is right, the circuitry encounters resistance now. I tried to redo a match against Zurich Mint (nice anagram, the man's own and not mine--exercise for the student), and I didn't get far. I did reconstruct most of a shorter one against someone else.

If I had all the rolls, I could certainly reconstruct a long match even at this late date (wheeze), but probably not, like, days or weeks afterward.

Kit suggested that the way to reconstruct a match is to agree with your opponent that you'll each record only the other's moves. Then little time is wasted. Cameras, too nerdy for me--although Julius High has our match on camera, which is great. Hey, Julius, if you read this, please send to My E-Mail Address: above, and thanks in advance (and if you don't read this, don't bother).
