My thinking here is that you must challenge white to close you out right now, make him perform while you still have a 4pt board. Bar/20 for me.

Sitting and waiting on the 3pt just feels like conceding all the timing you need. Breaking the homeboard to remain diversified without encouraging him to hit loose (bar/22,4/2) seems like you actually want him to hit you deep - which has to be a losing strategy from the get-go.

I think a critical aspect here is whites 2 builders in the outfield. They are presently out of direct contact, and thats 2 fewer checkers for white to play with.
