Putting the blot on the 20-point seems to me like running up the white flag. Your opponent will bat you around with impunity. My strategy in games like this (and in all other games too) is to hope I get lucky. If I make the 22 point I kill 6s and 5, thus leaving the chance that I may get a nice shot in a little while. I'm competitive in the race for a long time if I keep the anchor. I also want to keep hope alive for the magnificent 22, 66 sequence that I have in mind.
