Foreign currency leftover at end of trip

Rich: Money changers are crooks. Especially when you have a bunch of Euros left at the end of your trip and want to change them back.
The best way that I've found to use up foreign currency at the end of a trip is to apply the remaining foreign currency towards your final hotel bill. For example, if your hotel bill is 500 euros, and you have 150 euros in currency, hand over the 150 euros and put the balance of 350 euros on your credit card. One caveat: if you're taking a taxi to the airport, make sure you've set aside enough foreign currency to pay for the ride. If you still have some foreign currency when you reach the airport, buy some chocolate bars and give them to your family or friends when you get home.
