Hello Joe ! after reading your great story wich indeed it was a really nice reading for me I couldn't stop thinking and I will refer to what has hapened to Kathie as "The Kathie's Phenomenum". I have my own theory about a person( wife) to a backgammon player as you are,who after 22 years of quiting backgammon decides to play again as in a casual sessions and she plays below 2.00 error rate in 3 consecutives matches to 9 or 7 points. There are great chances that low error Kathie's rate was not merely a coincidence and we may possibly have lost the chance to see one of the best Backgammon player during these last 20 years. My theorie about Kathie quiting Backgammon is simple .

She was afraid of being a better backgammon player than you .
