I think it is both a sport and a game.

Watson has unique swing flexibility for a man his age and that enables him to hit for the distances necessary to compete.

Combine that with his unparalleled experience on links courses (and with golf in general) and he has a decided edge. He has played Turnberry a great number of times over decades of golf -- many are playing it for the first time.

Tomorrow will be interesting. He has nothing to lose -- and all the rest have to fear losing to a 59 year old. I would think Fisher, Westwood, and Goosen will be sternest competition -- I don't see the untested Aussie holding up. And someone, at least one, of my top group of four will have a good round -- I think any of the others are too far back to post a round enabling them to pass all four.

I'm pulling for him. It would be one of the great sports (and games) stories of all time.
