Well why put 5 checkers on the ace point and then figure "what this position calls for is leaving a double shot".

I'm making the ugly play of clearing the 4. There should always be an even number of checkers on the ace point anyway. lol

Blue will maintain a 3 pt board and leave no shots and may need to leave shots later, but also may not. I'll take my chances. Groan.
