I really have no idea what Ray might want to do. But I guess I can offer some speculation.

From my limited observation, it seems like Ray plays in a lot of tournaments. In fact I think that Ray has been present at every ABT tournament I have ever attended. I am pretty certain that Ray places high value on winning the ABT tour. He seemed happy when he did win it a couple of years ago. I sent him a congratulatory note, and he seemed pretty joyful when he responded.

I have no interest in revisiting the old threads. The dispute between Elayne and Ray seemed to me puerile and asinine in the extreme, but I was far away from the action, so what do I know?

But my point remains: I'm not going to try to compete in this thing if one of the top contenders is not eligible. I'm probably not a real contender anyway, but I wonder what the real players think.
