...but I think making the 3 point is clear here. The best way to prevent his making a second anchor is not even letting him start it, and the best way to avoid being return hit from the bar is to leave him fewer numbers that do it. Making the 3 point accomplishes these things and I don't see any compensating advantage to trying anything else.
