Agreed. If a player warrants banning from one ABT event, they probably warrant being banned from all events - for some period of time, or forever. I'd like to see some position stated on this in the ABT rules.

Of course, a director is in charge of the current event and if a player is being disruptive, violent, caught cheating, etc. the director certainly must have the authority to require the player to leave that particular event, after which any matter of a general banning can be discussed and ruled upon in the proper way.

But that being said, there are always going to be conflicts in personalities. And I think that it is not out of the question that a director and a player may simply not get along for whatever reason. Just as a player is free to tell a director, "I'm not coming to any tournament you direct", a director should be equally free to tell a player they can't get along with "It is your right to come under ABT rules, but my personal preference would be not to see you at my events".
