If you're not 100% sure if it is gin, (and I always assume 66 for the trailer and 21 for the leader) then it's simpler to just keep rolling rather than take the time to do the calculations, especially if you're on the clock. I take no issue with anyone for doing that.

The real point is that MOST people stop playing too quickly in situations that look hopeless but aren't. If you train yourself to keep playing, you won't give up that epsilon of equity. More importantly, by retaining the right to win that miracle sequence, you keep alive your chances of telling a heck of a story.
