Really? I would guess I usually play better than this, although 5.9 is exactly my average in my two recorded otb matches. I thought my match against Julius was really unusually poor for me, but I haven't had the heart to look at it closely.

Several people have said nice things about me here, but I always go in the bottom quartile in the calcutta, and the market usually is efficient in auctions with sufficent participants, so I would have thought the median player is better than what Neil says here. OTOH Neil seems usually to know what he is talking about.
