I don't understand why you'd be interested in the prime as there's nothing behind it. The biggest thing in this position is that you've got a hit. Even if there wasn't a 4 to get to the bar point, the hit is still the most important factor. Better an unfinished cage holding a captive than a perfect cage and an opportunity missed.

Hitting aside, if you change the position by stashing GnuBg's blot somewhere, eg. the 8-point or the 5-point, it's still better to come out than to complete the cage.
