Videotape or manually record the matches?

I'm all for recording, as long as it doesn't distract or otherwise interfere with the play and progression of the game/match.
If someone is playing me, on a clock, they can within reason do anything they wish on their time -- including hand recording the match or, if they wish, take a still picture of every position. I would not in any way slow my play to accommodate them.
This differs, in my opinion, from someone who, as an example, calls out every roll during the match (to perhaps enhance the videorecording). I find this annoying and objectionable.
Further, some object to videorecording matches over the ownership and distribution/publication of the match record. Should this not also apply to hand-recorded matches? This is an area I feel should be addressed by directors and/or organizations. Personally, I feel a recorder should use the material only for his/her own use and should not distribute/publish the record w/o the consent of the playing partner.
