Cannes tourny questions

I always want to see the best players win, it is a reward for their efforts; they deserve to because they dedicate the time to studying the game with books, bots, and playing for cash live or online. Skill will always be awarded, luck is a gift.
Besides, don't tournaments have different divisions so that everyone has a fair chance of winning according to their level?
I find it exciting, even amazing when the same players win again and again, because it proves that they are doing something right, and it gives me inspiration to learn what that something is, because I want to play as well as they do.
In a five-day period during the 2001 Las Vegas Open, Dod Davies of the UK won the Last Chance in the Championship flight (117 players), first place in the 2-point Mini-Match event (256 players), first place in the Blitz (384 players) and first place with Paul Money in the Doubles (64 players). Dod Davies' victories inspired me to improve my game because I know how much he has studied the game.
What about Masayuki "Mochy" Mochizuki of Japan? A player with one of the lowest error rates in the world - but how many major events has he won? Not many, yet he deserves to have won much more often. He has dedicated years to studying the game, relentlessly travelled the international circuit, and even went to Denmark for several years to find the toughest challenges and improve his game further. He never gave up and now he is, deservedly, the new World Champion. Mochy has earned it and I hope and expect to see his name in the winners' circle time and again.
