You are right that my previous post was not an attempt to give a complete answer to UBK's questions. I should have given an explicit conclusion in that post. The conclusion is this: The answer is either "It doesn't matter at all," or "It depends".

Regarding your analysis, if it is true that the bye is more valuable to the top favorite in B, isn't it true for the three other contenders as well? And if it is, can we conclude anything regarding UBK's question?
