I believe there may have been a post on this site in the past few weeks suggesting that David may not be one of the players who consistently plays at under 5.0, but I, for one, am certainly willing to bet quite a bit that he does average better than that,

I would like to apologize for said post as I believe it may have been misinterpreted.

I have no idea what ER David plays, other than what he has previously told me. I believe he is a strong player and could well average under 5.0. My post was addressed to Adam as a means of lowering his expectations which were IMHO unrealistic.

I believe that using ER as a method of comparing players is extremely overrated, in part due to disagreement about what "ER" means, in part due to inaccuracy in the formula itself, in part due to variation between matches, etc., etc.

but more important than ER, his results prove him to be a player that should be feared by anyone who plays him.

Agreed.
