What ever happened to talks about a US Backgammon Federation?

I went to the ACBL Contract Bridge nationals a couple of years ago. There were 4,000 people playing. I gave up bridge for backgammon because I think backgammon is a better game, more fun, interesting, and stimulating.

There should be 4,000 at a backgammon nationals. A major reason is the lack of an effective national organization that truly promotes the game to the masses.

Most of us agree this is needed, but it isn't happening. So, Dan, wanna start an organization and see who shows up?
