How to improve your game

First, I don't believe playing a lot is the way to improve your game...as Abe Lincoln said: "If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend 6 sharpening my axe."
Everyone learns differently. I was not able to really learn a lot from books, but I have learned much from articles and from lessons.
So decide what works best for you, but as for where to concentrate, that's easy....keep track of your errors and classify them (I learned this from David Rockwell) and see where you make the most and biggest errors, and get help in that area...help from books, from setting up positions in the bots and paying the bots over and over, and from a teacher or coach.
